Gregory Nabours
Music Director, Resident Composer. Gregory Nabours lives and works in Los Angeles as a composer/lyricist and music director. Musical direction credits include The Color Purple, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Falsettos, Rent, The Wild Party, A New Brain, Spring Awakening, Into the Woods, Assassins, and The Full Monty. His work on The Color Purple earned him the 2012 Ovation Award, the LA Drama Critic's Circle Award, the LA Weekly Award, and the NAACP Award, all for Best Musical Direction. Gregory's song cycle, The Trouble With Words, was awarded the 2011 Ovation Award for Best Music and Lyrics for an Original Musical, as well as Best Musical in the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Gregory's music has been performed in venues all across the nation, and he has worked with many of Broadway's brightest. In November 2014, ASCAP featured an evening of his work at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
